What a fantastic start to an exciting week last Monday. Our Kick-off event of our H2Roadtrip was a great success. What a beautiful stories of hydrogen initiatives and the compliments we received about our initiative. We have been working on it for so long and we are completely into it. But when you get all those reactions from the field that we are really going to do something very special and are pioneers, then you really realize that what we are going to do is very special. The fact that we did this Monday with the whole family makes it completely special. Our pick-up and self-built tiny house containing the hydrogen tank and generator were looked at with great interest.

It was a great program led by Peter MolengraafTopsector Energie, who was the chairman of the afternoon. I talked about the importance of hydrogen,
Jos Boere from KWR Water Research Institute and Hysolar welcomed us to their beautiful location. My wife Els Molengraaf-Blokzijl talked about the challenges and risks we encountered beforehand and will encounter during the trip.

There were also pioneers in hydrogen-powered transport, namely
Leon Jansen from E-LIONS H2 with the hydrogen-powered Volkswagen Amarok, Martijn Sanders from Van Beers Hoogeloon with the Eco-Excovator hydrogen-powered excavator and Thomas Tikken from Volta Energy NL about Sun & hydrogen: the synergy of two sustainable energy sources.

Then there was a panel discussion with Andries Vlot from TSN GroenMarjon Castelijns 🌍 🌱 from DarelPieter Lantermans from HyFly and myself from H2storage, councilor Marieke Schouten from the Gemeente Nieuwegein and the European Committee of the Regions
