Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. That is, of course, inherent to innovation.
This year we scheduled do our H2road trip (European coast tour 12.000 km on hydrogen in 100 days, zero-emission), but unfortunately there are some delays in the certification of the hydrogen tank and delivery of the materials for our tiny house on wheels. That’s a disappointment, but we have to deal with it and go on.
But we are still positive. We are busy with the website, setting up our community app from Netwerkapp®, which is sponsored by Elma Bassa, we visited exhibitions, we gave presentations, and set out the route, old-fashioned with folding route maps. Because we have to look closely at where we might have problems on steep roads. Where can we refuel regular and where do we have to make special agreements with companies that can help us to supply hydrogen and where we can possibly refuel there, because in Southern Europe the supply of hydrogen will be a major challenge.

Recently we visited Portugal for a short holiday, and we combined this with an appointment with PRF – Gas Solutions, where we discussed, the possibilities of organizing an event together. We agreed that we organize a joint event with them in June at their premises in Leiria. Last week Andre visited Comec Innovative SRL in Italy and they are also one of the event partners. So our hydrogen event in Italy is planned in July in Chieti.
The chassis of the trailer is ready and delivered by Vlemmix aanhangwagens & boottrailers to Jeffrey Houten to start building this week, for which GIROTEC BV has made the drawings. The installation frames for the tanks for our tiny house have also already been welded (with an sliding option to show the tanks during our events). Hopefully we will soon be able to continue working on the construction of our ‘little house’.
The final date of our departure is now scheduled for 4/24/24. We will then say goodbye with a H2roadtrip event in the Netherlands. After that we travel to Oslo in one go and there we really start with our H2Radtrip challenge.
