At the most sustainable education building of the Netherlands, the Energy Academy Europe / New Energy Academy in Groningen, we were invited to share the first experiences of our H2Roadtrip!In this ambitious building industry, education and academia are joining forces to work together on research and innovation in the field of energy.

We started with showing our combination which was parked in front of the building. We explained the principles of the hydrogen combination. After that we gave a presentation over hydrogen, storage and our H2Roadtrip. After that, there was a nice discussion with students and other interested persons about the use of hydrogen today and in the near future.

Peter Van Tol of the Top Dutch Solar Racing Team told about their adventure they experienced during the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge in the Australian outback and pushed the boundaries of sustainable transportations, all while leaving a zero-emissions footprint. They did this with an ambitious young team of international and diverse students from Groningen, The Netherlands, who designed, build, and raced their cutting-edge solar car in the rugged outback of Australia. Inspiring to hear about this story and that they are the only team with students of different education levels. Everybody has his own talent!

The same day we also visited CLiQ SwissTech AG The Netherlands to meet an old friend of us, Arjan van Veen.CLiQ SwissTech AG is a developer and producer off additives for the coating, ink, plastic and construction industry. They have their technical center where the products are developed and tested.Hydrogen does not play a huge role in their company, however Hydrogen is used in GC-MS system, an analytical tool to analyse organic substances. A detector of this machine, FID, is using Hydrogen as gas.Safety first, so we had to wear protecting glasses. It was nice experiencing the enthousiasm of Arjan about his work.
